Middlesex seems like a book I’m going to really have to read hard because it’s very confusing. It’s a life it hard for me to understand. I never like movies like lord of the rings and star wars. I like realistic stuff. It will be different, but I’m up for the challenge.

It’s crazy how at times men get so much power. We can take over a womens life and munipulate them to do whatever we want. It sounds like a mans fantasy, but to me it’s not. I want a women to be equal to me, meet me half during discussions. I don’t want to be superior to anyone. I’m not a role model I just live my life, therefore no one should look up to me.

When men take advantage of women I see that as a weakness. What joy can a man get by his womnen being scared of him? That’s not a life I want to live. I want a women to be my significant other, not my slave. CCook for me but I’ll also cook for her. We can go half on a baby and share the world TOGETHER.

Women end up in perdictaments like this, because they allow it. Men can only do what you allow them to do honestly. SOme women don’t know their power amd some just don’t use it. Have a little bit more of respect for yourselves women, because you have a choice Celie didn’t.

Well a couple of classmates and I decided to do a skit of the class. I will imitate Marlen and the rest of the group will be the students, showing different archeytypes. We will be seeking participation in our 5 minutes presentation in front of the whole class. Hopefully it’ll will be funny but also show our knowledge learned throughout the semester.

When I was small, I was surrounded by happy people. Well when I got older I found myself asking was that a different world. Everybody came to all my recitals, and were cheering me on. They told me I was a star and other inspiring names. I found out recently that my mom and dad wasn’t together when I was little, but they were married. They made my childhood seem so good. They made me the happy go lucky person I am today. The world seemed so different, they prepared me for these days. I had a real good, happy, and fun childhood.

When I was seven my real mother got real sick. We had to rush her to the hospital. I had crazy feelings about the whole situation; that something was wrong. I had butterflies the whole week she was there. My family tried to sugarcoat everything. I was fairly advanced at that age, they didn’t realize they couldn’t tell me anything. When she passed, it was devastating for my family and I. Everyone was trying to get custody of me, and here comes my dad.

I didn’t want to go with my dad. I had moved with him and didn’t like it. I realized his house was fun, but I did like it because I missed my mom. After time passed, my father and I had so much fun. We dressed alike all the time, and went everywhere together. Things were starting to change.

I love college. The independence is just unreal. I represent my parents to the fullest. I like studying all day, and partying all night, knowing all my work is done. Being in a party is just a crazy vibe. I control myself all the time, no matter what the situation. It’s a good experience to be apart of.

When I was in middle basketball was my life. I practiced everyday all day. I had the dream to go to the NBA. I knew I was going to make it. When I got to high school, basketball was out the window. I seen clothes, girls, and money. I was warped into to the fast life. I was doing everything to get money, I was selling everything. I only regret it when I play basketball now, because where I used to be to how I didn’t progress. I just let pople know they’re lucky. I had money all the time. Their was never a time I did’t have atleast $300 in my pocket. I was really getting it.

Since I been awayat school, to better myself. I’ve been away from my bestfriends. It was my first semester and I haven’t had the chance to go home in like three months. After that time pasted a friend of mine was going home and took me. I was so excited to go home to see my friends and family. When I seen that I was getting close to home my adrenaline started to pump.

I got home and seen my mom and sisters and we talked for a couple hours. I was basically telling them about my college experience. We laughed and joked for awhile, then it was time for them to get ready for school and work. I left and ran around the corner to see my friends who hang on the corner everyday. I was like wussup yall? My friends Rob was like FUCK OUTTA HEAR COLLEGE BOY! I no longer associate my self with any of them anymore.

I was reading a poem called Kidding Kids by Linda Ann Nickerson and she talks about people getting teased. It seemed so true of what she was saying. The way I felt after they said dat was like a person with no insides. in the Philadelphia school district we had to where uniforms because of people get teased. That’s how serious teasing is where I’m from.
